I am at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park sitting in my car reading and listening to the rain.
There is a pudldle nearby that has grown in the rain but is still fairly shalllow. A crow walked up and has been lying the left side of his head down in the water drinking. He’s been doing this for the last five minutes.
The other crows are being more crow like, they’re harvesting worms out in the grass.
We’re on the WSF Hyak somewhere between Anacortes and Orcas Island.
Nibbling on smoked salmon pillows, yum!
I am aquiver with anticipation for tomorrow’s birthday cruise. We’ll be hopping on the a ferry at Anacortes and cruising around the San Juan Islands. The last time we did this particular route (2 years ago) we were blessed with an abundance of rainbows and a spectacular sunset. And then we drove home in pretty heavy snowfall. Forecast is looking promising tomorrow and, if it holds true, we should have a nice sunset.
I may be aquiver with anticipation for tomorrow’s birthday cruise but I am smirking with delight in anticipation of next year’s birthday cruise.
For next year, my friends, we are going to Canada!
